Televisit Q & A

What is TeleVisit?

TeleVisit is a virtual appointment with the healthcare provider at the comfort of your home or workplace. Using a laptop or a smartphone, you and your healthcare provider can see and talk regarding your illness, prescription refills, or follow-ups, just like an actual visit in the clinic.

How can I book a TeleVisit appointment?

You can book one through our website by clicking on the “Book Online” button. You can also book though your Patient Portal or through the Healow App. Alternatively, you can call us 212-545-1888 and a staff member will be happy to assist you.

Attention Patients in NJ:

The state of New Jersey recently announced that they are discontinuing Temporary Emergency Reciprocity Licensure Program. This means, starting from September 1st, 2022, only providers who have NJ license may render medical services to those who are in NJ at the time of service.

Therefore, Dr. Karibandi and Dr. Lui can perform Telemedicine for only those who are in the state of NY. Dr. Chung will continue to service patients in NJ and NY by Telemedicine.

All our doctors will still see patients from any state, here in person, at our NYC office.

How can I join the TeleVisit after scheduling?

Start joining the TeleVisit appointment at least 5 minutes ahead of the scheduled time. You can use either your laptop or your smartphone to join the TeleVisit.

If you are using a laptop, check your email for Telemed Appointment Confirmation and click on the orange button to join the TeleVisit. You can also log in through your patient portal and go to the Upcoming Appointments section. Note: Please use Chrome or Firefox browser to open the email/patient portal.

If you are using your smartphone, check your messages for a text confirmation and follow the link from there. You can also connect via the Healow App in the Appointments section.

For best connection, make sure you have a good internet connection and you use headphones during the appointment. Please make sure your camera and microphone are functioning.

Will my insurance be used for TeleVisit?

Like an actual visit in the office, we will send the claim to your insurance first. Copay will be charged on the day of the appointment. Deductible and coinsurance may apply depending on your insurance plan. For coverage questions, please contact your insurance.
