Dr Mahmud grew up in Forest Hills, New York. She attended the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California as a Biology Major. She completed her medical school at Universidad Iberoamericana in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Afterwards, she did her residency training in Family Medicine in Clifton, New Jersey. Her training was at the St Joseph’s Regional Medical Center/Mt Sinai School of Medicine Program. For the next three years she has worked at Family Practice offices in New York, and joined the City Care Family Practice family in June 2011.
She enjoys and is passionate about traveling around the world from the far corners of Thailand to hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru to the Mediterranean Coast to name just a few of the many countries traveled. She also loves trying various ethnicities of cuisines. When the weather is pleasant, she often can be seen walking to work in her flip flops to get some morning exercise before heading into work.
